" Another wonderful three days . See you next year!"

"Wow! There's no other word that better describes a visit to Mala Mala. I've been a guest since '93 and everytime when someone asks how the trip was, the answer has always been 'wow'. From the game viewing to the staff to the service to the accommodations...it's all just one big WOW ....as always. Thanks to everyone who makes it even more special each and every time.". - M.E. Chidiac

"As I always do, I had a fantastic time at MalaMala, made possible by my fabulous rangers, Andrew, Wesley and Jaime. I cannot wait to return in June, as always so many animals, birds and reptiles to photograph!"
  • Photographs courtesy of Ms Motozu from Japan, who was a guest of ours at MalaMala Main Camp 11-14 December 2007
"It was indeed a memorable experience for me to spend 3 days at your game reserve.  It has definitely changed my sense of value in life.  My house is no longer the place to come back to rest.  MalaMala is home to me now.  I will keep coming back to MalaMala whenever I can."

"After 14 years, Mala Mala can still amaze me. One never knows what is around the corner, what the next few minutes will bring. One actually gets tired of holding the camera at ‘the ready’ for fear of missing any action that might meander by, be right above your head, behind a bush, or dart out from a nearby hole.  Sound policies by Mr. & Mrs. Rattray and their top team at MalaMala have kept this magical place alive with flora and fauna still desiring to make it their home for all of us to enjoy. MalaMala is truly a second home for me as well.”
  • Photographs courtesy of Mr and Mrs Shields from the USA, who were guests of ours at Rattray's on MalaMala 25 - 28 October 2007
"We had another wonderful trip to Rattray's and it won't be our last. We are planning a return trip in September 2009.  Wesley and John, as well as the entire staff were great and made us feel right at home.  The animal viewing was amazing once again.  We can't say enough about the accommodations. Thanks for making our holiday a wonderful experience."

"We were privileged to witness lions at a very graphic nigh-time kill. (Which is more graphic on my much admired video!) We also had some rain, hence the photos of very bedraggled cubs at the same site the following morning. Overall an excellent couple of days."

"Many thanks for organising a marvellous trip, a lot of very happy memories"

  • Photographs courtesy of Edgar Mendez Chacon from the USA, who were guests of ours at MalaMala Main Camp 14 - 16 & Rattray's on MalaMala 16 - 18 August 2007
" The rangers (Wes, Nico and Chris) were fantastic and the trackers were even more incredible with their keen eyesight and sense on where the animals were. We had great sightings of "The Big Five" and the up close interaction made the stay even more amazing. Watching a leopard feeding on a baboon and then quickly rushing off to catch a duiker that was being harassed by a martial eagle was an incredible sight to witness. The accomodations were fantstic, especially our khaya at Rattray's, and it made you almost not want to leave to go on safari! We can't wait to return for another amazing adventure! "We still find ourselves short of words to describe our experience. We were expecting fantastic game viewing and our expectations were exceeded by our stay. What we weren't expecting was the complete luxury of the camp and some of the finest food and company I have found in my travels around the globe. Our ranger, Richard, and our tracker, Colin, always proved informative and welcome company. I shall look forward to my return and will always hold dear memories of our stay at Rattray's."
  • Photographs courtesy of Mr Denham from the USA who was a guest of ours at MalaMala Main Camp 22 -25 March 2007

  • Photographs courtesy of Gerda Vanderstok from The Netherlands, who was a guest of ours at Mashatu Tent Camp 03-06 February 2007 and MalaMala Main Camp 09 - 12 February 2007
"After Mashatu Game Reserve at Botswana, I visited Mala Mala, both different, both top locations!
At Mala Mala I saw leopards very close by. Our run off the road, on a stormy evening in the dark, after a lions pride was spectacular. The whole staff deserves a great compliment for their hospitality. I always felt very welcome. The lounge is like a fairy-tale! I hope to see you all again in the future. Many thanks!"
