September 2010
Quela Quela female: (unknown age) (2 sighting)
this nervous female remains elusive and any sighting we have of her is fleeting. She looks to be territorial on Toulon but with the irregular intervals at which we see her we don’t know much about her. Lets hope this changes as it would a loss to us to miss out on her life on Mala Mala.
August 2010
• Quela Quela female: (unknown age) (1 sighting)
This female has always been very elusive; she came into the area from Kruger National Park and often the animals that come in from the remote places in the park need time to get use to vehicles. Although she was only seen once this month she appeared to be relaxed and allowed us to view her for a while before moving into the river for some shade in the reeds.
July 2010
• Quela Quela female: (unknown age) (1 sighting)
This very shy leopard was only seen once this month and even then it was a very brief sighting, she is starting to relax down a little but with the pressure of the other more dominant female in the area she will take a while to settle and then we are sure she will be seen far more regularly in the southern parts of Mala Mala.
June 2010
• Quela Quela female: (unknown age) (2 sightings)
This shy female leopard has only been seen twice this month and both sightings were very brief. She seems in very good condition and both sightings she was seen near the river close to what seems to be the core of her territory next to that of the Jakkalsdraai female. Hopefully we will see more of her as winter develops.
May 2010
